Holiday Wishes

I had a request to post how I made this card, so I thought I would! It was a pretty simple card to make, and it looks great when it's done (those are the best cards!)

I started with a piece of 8.5" x 5.5" Bazzill card stock in Taffy to create the card base and scored it in half at 4.25". Then I used another piece of taffy card stock and the largest Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle die to cut a front panel. I used the Stampin' Up background stamp called "hardwood" and SU Tip Top Taupe classic ink to stamp the background.

I set that aside and cut out my two greenery pieces (the mistletoe and pine needle die) and the pinecone from Neenah Solar white card stock using the Essentials by Ellen "Poinsettia and Pine" dies. I used my Copic markers to add colour to the white die cuts and a few white enamel dots to the mistletoe die cut.

I then stuck the three die cuts together using micro glue dots. I tied a bow with some ribbon from my stash (I think it's from SU), and attached that with a glue dot as well.

I then used the "Holiday Wishes" sentiment from the stamp set "Big Scripty Greetings Holiday" by Simon Says Stamp and stamped it using Lawn Fawn's Soot ink.

I then attached the panel to the card base and using tape runner adhesive and the card was complete!

Here are a few other cards I made using the Hardwood background stamp:
