Love ya Bunches!

I got my hands on this awesome collaboration set from Lawn Fawn and Ellen Hutson LLC and I really wanted to use my new Daniel Smith Watercolour Dot Card to paint these super sweet monkeys in. I also painted the vines and banana using the watercolours.

I set those aside to dry and worked on my background. I used distress ink as I didn't want to waste my dots on that, so I used Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, and Lucky Charm inks to smoosh the ink onto some distress watercolour paper. Once I had my first layer of colour I dried it with my heat tool and then added a second and third layer of colour.

I let the background dry and then stamped the greeting. I then started attaching the elements to the card using a combination of multi medium matte and foam tape.

I then cut a yellow card base to be a portrait style card (8.5" x11" paper cut lengthwise at 4.25" and scored at 5.5"). I attached the panel using fun foam because the panel was a bit warped and that was it!
I love this set and I am definitely going to do a slider card of some sort because COME ON! 😍

Suspended Element Shaker Card Using Zig Markers

Using 4 Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and Bristol Smooth cardstock I created the watery background which was inspired by a card done by Kristina Werner a little while ago. I then coloured in these cute images from Lawn Fawn with the real brush markers. The sets I used were "Octopi my Heart", and "Fintastic Friends." I stamped the greeting in versa mark ink and white heat embossed it. Next time I would put the sentiment on a banner attached to the outside of the shaker window as you can't really see it with all the sequins in the way. I then suspended the octopuses with clear thread and sandwiched the thread between the foam tape that is around the shaker window. I added sequins and the shaker was finished.

My Favourite Nut Watercolour card

Today I did some watercolouring using this adorable stamp set from Neat and Tangled. I just love these squirrels! I used Distress ink as my water colour and Versafine Onyx Black ink to stamp and emboss my images. I added details to my image using prismacolor coloured pencils. I added my focal panel to a woodgrain top folding card base and finished it off with some Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Here is a video showing you some more details of how I made this card.

Tasty Trucks Card Video Tutorial

I decided to create a card using the tasty trucks sale-a-bration stamp set. I had made little 3D trucks earlier this week, and wanted to use the set in another way.  Here is a video showing how I did it.

Have a great day!!!

Donut Bookmarks!

Today was a snow day so I decided to try and make a crafting video because I love watching them on YouTube. I decided to keep it simple and make these donut bookmarks. Using scraps of cardstock, a couple of circle punches and a scallop circle die, i made a bunch of them and then filmed the process. You can watch the video below if you'd like! I think they are super cute!
